"I believe my background as a  licensed broker with college degrees in real estate and finance coupled with 18 years experience selling homes throughout the San Fernando Valley gives my clients a unique advantage."

The name Tarzana was taken from the character in the movie "Tarzan King Of The Apes". The story was written by Edgar Rice Burroughs. Burroughs may not have been Tarzana's first resident, but he was certainly the most famous. Burroughs owned a 550-acre ranch back in the days when the rural area was known for its berry farms and chicken ranches. He purchased the land in 1919 from Gen. Harrison Gray Otis, who had his own claim to fame as the founder and publisher of the "Los Angeles Times". In 1927 the area had a contest to come up with a name for the community and the name Tarzana was chosen. It is believed that the first swimming pool built in the San Fernando Valley was located within the community. Like the other communities on the southern perimeter of the San Fernando Valley, Ventura Blvd. is the main thoroughfare. The boulevard offers a multitude of restaurants and shopping opportunities. Every year, the community has a one day street fair along a portion of Ventura Blvd. that is attended by thousands. The community also features two country clubs with excellent golfing and tennis facilities.
